Criteria Matrix
Definition
A weighted scoring tool for evaluating solutions against defined criteria.
A Criteria Matrix (Decision Matrix) evaluates multiple solutions against weighted criteria. Each criterion gets an importance weight (1-10), each solution gets a score against each criterion (1-5), weights are multiplied by scores, and totals are summed. The highest-scoring solution is the recommended choice. Setting weights before scoring prevents bias toward a pre-selected favorite.
